Professor Dan Aravot is one of the top cardio-thoracic surgeons in Israel. He has been in the field for over 25 years and has participated in the development of several innovative heart surgery techniques, such as the Domino transplant transplantation of the heart and others.
Professor Aravot believes in a personal and individual approach to every patient, studying the medical history, performing the necessary tests and, only based on the whole picture, deciding on the treatment plan.

After finishing his residency at Sourasky Medical Center in Tel-Aviv, he proceeded to work in London and Cambridge for the next 6 years gaining the necessary knowledge and experience.
Upon his return to Israel in 1992, he founded the heart and lung transplant unit at Beilinson hospital and continued to work there till 2002.
In the years 2002 to 2012 professor Aravot served as chief of cardio-thoracic surgery department at Carmel Medical Center.
Starting in 2012 and till this day he is chief of the largest cardio-thoracic surgery department in Israel, at Beilinson hospital.
